Hexaria Wikia

Status Effects are special conditions that has a wide variety of effects. These conditions can buff or debuff for over a set amount of turns.

Types of Status Effects[]

The following is a list of status effects that are implemented in the game.

Accuracy Debuff[]

Accuracy Debuff is often used by many of the players in Hexaria, most notably the Rogue and Pirate class often using these debuffs. When an enemy gets Accuracy Debuff, their hit chance will decrease greatly which means that attacks will miss often other than the use of Traps. Surprisingly, no enemies can give Accuracy Debuffs ingame as of yet.

Burn[]

This status effect damages you for a set amount of turns before wearing off. A few example of cards that can burn are Fireball, Firebrand and Everburn. Enemies in Pyrolous can use cards capable of burning you.

Frostbite[]

Frostbite is a different status effect that doesn't damage you over turns. Instead when you move, you take damage which can force many players to not move due to taking damage from Frostbite. Damage from multiple Frostbites do not stack. The Blizzard card is the only card so far that is attainable, as for enemies they seem to be mostly used by the Arcovian enemies. The damage dealt by Frostbite is always 30, no matter what the source of the effect is.

Healing[]

Healing is a status effect that heals you over a set amount off turns, making it useful so you don't have to use a Medkit to heal every turn. No enemies can do this, but the cards that can do this are Salve and Alchemy.

Poison[]

Unique to some of the Swampland monsters, this status effect damages your character at the end of your turn. Some cards that are capable of poisoning enemies are Poison Dagger or Venomshank.

Stun[]

This status effect skips your turn for a set amount of turns and prevents the one affected from gaining bits. Some of the cards with stun are Tripwire, and Glacial Broadsword.

Exhaustion[]

This is a status effect that takes a set amount of bits from you, and stops you from getting a bits for that set amount of turns. One of the only cards that use this is the Status Overload Potion.

Countering Status Effects[]

Some cards can counter status effects or even use it to its advantage.

  • The Mage's Alchemy can turn all negative status effects into positive effects, making it useful if you are receiving lots of bad status effects.
    • Although this is unconfirmed if this can work on Accuracy Debuffs.
  • The Ranger's Salve can heal overtime which can stop status effects and counteract them because of the overtime healing, although this does not work if you are affected by status effect(s) that do more than 30 damage
